What is Calton Friends Association? (CFA)

CFA is a group of volunteers who help the school raise money for a variety of different projects. It also encourages parents and carers to become involved in the school by helping with things such as reading groups, gardening, coffee mornings, open days, and art projects.

It has been running for many years and the association has been able to provide lots of equipment for the school through fundraising that it might not have otherwise been able to afford. All pupils benefit from the money raised and the items purchased by CFA.

How can I help support CFA?

CFA is always looking for new volunteers to help with the events that they organise throughout the year. It does not have to be a big commitment but a few hours a month can make all the difference.

If you think that you are able to offer a few hours now and again to help organise things such as the Christmas Fayre, school discos or colouring competitions then please send an email to cfa@calton.sandmat.uk.

If you have any particular skills that you think may be useful to CFA then please let us know. We always need people who are good at art, gardening and putting up tents!

We are:

  • A friendly group of parents/carers.
  • We raise funds to create and support exciting events for OUR children.
  • Younger children are welcome to attend all meetings.
  • Anyone can join at any time, it’s never too late! Please come and join us to make amazing things happen.
