Overview

The personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) curriculum aims to enable children to become healthy, responsible and independent members of society. At Calton, we recognise that a child’s spiritual, moral, mental, cultural and physical development plays an important role in their ability to learn and achieve. Our PSHE education encourages children to be resilient, have high aspirations and to believe in themselves. We want all children to develop a good awareness of strategies they can use to deal with different factors that may affect them in life so that they have good mental health and well-being.

The relationships, health education (RHE) curriculum aims to teach children how to be safe and how they can develop healthy relationships both now and in their future lives.
